Digital GHG Assessment and Decarbonization Roadmap

A consulting assignment was undertaken to develop a consolidated Investment Grade Energy Audit and GHG Inventory for a representative sample of 10 companies within the Kanpur Leather Manufacturing Cluster, followed by a comprehensive analysis of the findings at the cluster level.

The assessment provides an indicative understanding of the greenhouse gas emissions profile of the Kanpur Leather Manufacturing Cluster, identifying common emission patterns, key hotspots, and opportunities for improving energy and carbon performance across the sector.

Using PlanetWise CMS, energy, activity, and operational data from the participating companies were systematically processed and converted into GHG emissions.

The platform enabled the assessment team to establish an indicative emissions baseline and analyze emissions across participating facilities, providing visibility into the major sources contributing to the cluster's overall carbon footprint.
